Atlas
A reader for finding, connecting and revisiting useful ideas in long-form source material.
Chemist · Engineer · Curious builder
I’m Albert Kravos. I connect research, data and practical ideas — from olive leaves and sustainable energy to tools for exploring knowledge.

01 / The story so far
Chemistry in Italy. Energy and entrepreneurship in Denmark. Research in Slovenia. Each chapter adds another way of looking at a problem.
Six chapters. Choose a year to take a look.
The foundation
I earned my BSc in Chemistry at the University of Trieste, building the scientific foundation for what came next.
BSc in Chemistry · Awarded 15 March 2013
A bigger energy question
At DTU, I specialised in Biofuels and earned a Master of Science in Engineering in Sustainable Energy. My research work involved developing and testing an electrochemical ammonia-synthesis system.
MSc awarded 14 February 2017 · Electrochemical Researcher, 2017
The startup chapter
As Co-Founder and CTO at BlueBenu, I worked on recycling technology for complex plastic polymers: laboratory protocols, testing, partner collaboration and mentoring interdisciplinary intern teams.
Technology development · Sustainability · Teamwork
A leaf is more than a leaf
I explored olive leaves and other agricultural materials with spectroscopy, chromatography and chemometric models. The work also took me into olive groves, using 3D scans and point clouds to estimate pruning biomass.

From samples to patterns
My analytical work included oil matrices, chromatography and sample preparation. I also built and analysed a laboratory database covering 2018–2024, connected meteorological data, and led preparation and submission of the Clean Food Adrion proposal.
Analyst VII/2 (II) · February 2025 – February 2026
The current chapter
Since February 2026, I’ve worked as an Assistant at ZRS Koper’s Institute for Behavioural Economics. My work supports research, international projects, documentation and communication, including contributions to EMPOWERMed.
Assistant · February 2026 – present
02 / Independent explorations
Alongside my research background, I develop AI-assisted information products and local workflows. A recurring question: how can complex material become easier to inspect and use?
Knowledge exploration · Personal prototype
A reader for finding, connecting and revisiting useful ideas in long-form source material.
Evidence & research · Personal prototype
A research workflow that keeps claims, supporting material and open questions connected.
Controlled AI workflows · Local workflow development
An approach to improving AI-assisted work through explicit checks, preserved versions and human oversight.
Different projects.
The same instinct:
keep the source,
find the structure,
make it useful.
Transcript production · Portable local suite
A local production workflow for authorised text and transcripts, with revisions, readers and exports.
Research & information design · Local research prototypes
Niche research projects that turn scattered service information into clear, qualified comparisons.
These are personal projects and local development work. Each project page explains its scope and current recorded stage.
03 / A small experiment
Pick two ingredients. Discover where they’ve already met in my work.
Unexpected combinations encouraged.
Matter + Data. Ready to mix.
Matter + Data
Spectroscopy and chemometric models meet agricultural research: using measured signals to explore moisture, oleuropein and other valuable compounds.
Meet the InnoRenew chapterSix combinations. All grounded in my work.
04 / Ways of working
My toolkit moves between the laboratory, the dataset and the interface. The method depends on the question.
Analytical chemistry, spectroscopy, chromatography and experimental planning.
Working with olive leaves and oil matrices, from sample preparation and laboratory documentation to spectral measurements and compound analysis.
Chemometrics, modelling, visualisation and spatial measurement.
Processing 3D scans from olive-grove pilots to estimate pruning biomass, and using laboratory and weather data to investigate patterns.
Research communication, technical coordination and AI-assisted information design.
Mentoring interdisciplinary teams, contributing to project proposals and dissemination, and creating readers that keep ideas connected to their sources.
